Terms
Free previews
A preview is free and you don't have to buy anything. It isn't listed on Google. If you don't go ahead, we delete it.
Website builds
Builds are paid half when you go ahead and half when the site goes live. Each client signs a one-page scope that lists the pages, the monthly plan, the change allowance and who owns what.
Monthly plans
Hosting, Care, Growth and Growth Plus run month to month with 30 days' notice to cancel. Extra changes are quoted before we start.
Who owns the website
On a build you pay for, the design, code and content are yours once the build is paid in full.
Nothing-upfront plan
This plan runs for 24 monthly payments. Your content (words, photos, logo and prices) is always yours. The design and code become yours after the 24th payment. You can pay off the build at any time for A$50 (NZ$55) for each payment left, and keep the site. After 24 payments, your Care or Growth plan carries on at its normal price until you cancel with 30 days' notice. If a payment is missed, we'll tell you in writing and give you 14 days to sort it out before the site is taken offline. We always give you a copy of your content.
GST
We don't charge GST at the moment. If we register for GST, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before it's added to your plan.
Your web address
Your domain is registered in your name and paid for by you. We are listed as the technical contact while we look after the site.
If we stop trading
We'll give you the website files and help move your site to another host. Your domain is already in your name.
What we don't promise
We don't promise Google rankings or a set number of enquiries. We promise the work described in your scope.
Liability and law
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.
Where the law allows it, if our work doesn't meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to doing the work again or paying what it would cost to have it done again.
If you're in Australia, these terms are governed by the law of New South Wales. If you're in New Zealand, they're governed by New Zealand law.
